A common frustration for when arranging a new or upgraded website, is that it's difficult to make decisions on design, site navigation, content layout and copy inclusions, when you are dealing with multiple service providers. Those elements are inextricably connected, yet there is often no opportunity to discuss the design and content elements at the same time.

In many cases, there is no marketing strategist involved to guide the way with a broader marketing picture.

The result can be ineffective 'me too' content that resembles that of your competitors, instead of inspiring website visitors to choose your business over those competitors.

Our unique content planning workshop eliminates those frustrations and sets the foundation for success. We'll look at some key marketing concepts and relate them to your business. We'll talk with you about the content required, and how and where the content might best be presented on the website. Decisions become easy. You'll also gain valuable knowledge from our discussion that you may be able to apply to other marketing activities to enhance results.

And you won't need to fill out a brief for the writer - the workshop discussions will produce the relevant information, and we'll put the brief together for you after the workshop.

What makes website copy effective?

  • Copy needs to be developed based on a thorough understanding of your target market, their 'pain points', priorities, concerns, and factors they consider when deciding whether to choose you, or one of your competitors.
  • The content should reflect your brand voice and appeal to prospective clients by addressing their needs and goals, rather than simply stating what you offer.
  • Prospective clients must be able to easily and quickly navigate to the information they're looking for on your website.
  • If customers find you by searching online for your products or services, SEO becomes important. Copy should be aligned with typical search terms, and Google must understand what your website offers so it can index it appropriately.
  • Meta descriptions should be aligned with any relevant SEO decisions, and be written in a way that encourages people to click through to visit the website.
  • Your copy should make you stand out from the competition - not blend in.

1. Start Small $1800 + GST

What's included—

  • Content planning workshop (online, 2 hours)
  • 3 pages/URLS of copy (up to 400 words per page)
  • Basic SEO keyword research
  • 2 rounds of amendments

Up to 2 additional pages/URLS of copy can be included at an additional $300 + GST per page/URL.

2. Growing $2900 + GST

What's included—

  • Content planning workshop (online, 2-3 hours)
  • 6 pages/URLS of copy (up to 400 words per page)
  • Basic SEO keyword research
  • 2 rounds of amendments

Additional pages/URLS of copy can be added at $300 + GST per page/URL.

How does it work?


Our process is simple, efficient and effective. There are no forms or briefs to complete.

Once you've accepted the quote:

  1. 1.We'll be in touch to book in a workshop date and time.
  2. 2.We'll send you an invoice. Payment is due prior to the workshop.
  3. 3.Attend the online workshop, where we'll cover all the bases.
  4. 4.We'll compile a brief based on our workshop outcomes, and send it to you for approval. We'll also undertake the keyword research.
  5. 5.When the brief is approved and the keyword research completed, the writer will commence and complete a first draft of the content within 10-14 days.
  6. 6.Our editor will review this for quality and to ensure it aligns with the brief, before sending it to you for your review and feedback.
  7. 7.Consider whether you would like any changes. If you would, our editor will arrange these for you. Amendments are typically completed within 3 working days of the request.

How long will it take?

We recommend as a minimum, allowing 2 weeks from the workshop date to first draft copy, and another week for review and any amendments.

There are two main factors that affect the turnaround time from start to completion:

  • How soon you can book in for the content workshop. Your availability, and how many workshops we already have booked in, will determine how quickly we can get started. (Note: 7.00-9.00am workshop times are available if it's difficult for you to find focus time during business hours!)
  • How quickly you're able to review the content and provide your feedback. (Once we have your feedback on the first draft, amendments are completed within a few days)

Article Writers Australia Terms & Conditions

1. Copyright on all material we produce is passed to the relevant client by Article Writers Australia Pty Ltd from the date of payment. That means that once payment has been made, you (or your client) are free to use, amend or repurpose the content as you please.

2. Payment is required in advance per job for casual projects, and monthly in advance for ongoing arrangements. If you have regular requirements exceeding $3000 monthly and would like 7 or 14 day invoice terms, please email [email protected]to arrange this.

3. Two rounds of ‘reasonable amendments’ are included free of charge, where they are requested within 60 days of project commencement.

4. Reasonable amendments are minor amendments to improve the article within the scope of the brief, or to adjust content that does not fully comply with a brief. Amendment fees may be applied for the third and subsequent requests for amendments.

5. Amendment fees are charged where it would be unfair to ask the writer to complete the amendments for free in the circumstances. Such circumstances include:

a) You request changes that do not align with the approved brief that was provided to the writer for the first draft.

b) You request additional work that wasn’t included in the original brief – for example, additional copy that exceeds the amount quoted.

6. A minimum of $50 applies to invoiceable amendments. Any additional cost involved will be based on an estimate of the additional time required to make the amendments. If amendment fees do apply for any amendment request, we will advise you of the precise cost so you can approve the cost before amendments proceed.
